Apple overhauls AppStore Reviews!

The AppStore in iTunes has changed to show Ratings in a way that resembles how Amazon does ratings. This is a huge improvement!

Twitter Presence

Today marks the launch of MarigoHoldings' Twitter Presence.

I am new to the twitter service and it is a little overwhelming to see so many people with 20,000+ followers, hear new terminology like hashtags, retweets etc. Here are a few tricks I picked up along the way -

1. Fill out *all* your information
Upload a custom background image and profile picture, write a small bio describing who you are, where you are from etc.

2. Search for people to follow
Use search.twitter.com to find people who tweet about things that are relevant to you or your company. I searched for "itunes connect" or "calling cards" to find people that are interested in the kinds of software we build. Services like We Follow allow you to find top tweeters by category - such as the #tech or #politics

3. Auto Follow people
It is good etiquette to follow people who follow you. Going through your email following them individually takes too long. Use a service like: Twitter Karma

4. Tweet regularly
You may want to use third party applications like Twitteriffic for your Mac, iPhone or iPod touch. You can also SMS your tweets.

Sales Report online!

Sales Report has landed in the iTunes Store and the App Store!

A lot of developers, sales/marketing managers, and hobbyists rely on iTunes Connect everyday to provide them with summaries of sales and estimated revenues. However, the reports do not provide graphs or other useful summaries of the data. More importantly, crucial reports are available only for a handful of days or weeks, and then deleted forever. None of the available scripts to download these reports automatically work. So what are we to do?

That's why we've been using Sales Report, the iPhone and iPod touch application that downloads the Sales/Trends reports you've seen from iTunes Connect, and keeps them forever. It also provides you with convenient totals, graphs, and views of the data. Now managers, developers, or anyone with iTunes Connect account can see growth in sales, e-mail reports, gauge success of marketing campaigns, or monitor daily revenue estimates!

Visit the website, or buy Sales Report on the App Store.
